New Mexico becomes the 17th state to enact marriage equality. That’s more than a third of them!

So what states/countries will become equal in 2014? Pennsylvania? Ohio? Oregon? Nevada? Colorado? Virginia? Scotland? Germany? Australia?

Hawaii passes marriage equality. That’s sixteen states. On to New Mexico!

Illinois becomes the 15th state to legalize marriage equality.  Way to drop the ball, Hawaii.

Marriage equality in the Garden State goes into effect tomorrow. I love what the court said: “The State has advanced a number of arguments, but none of them overcome this reality: same-sex couples who cannot marry are not treated equally under the law today. The harm to them is real, not abstract or speculative,” wrote Chief Justice Stuart Rabner in the decision.

Belated congratulations to England and Wales for legalizing marriage equality. What’s the deal, Scotland? And Germany, are you going to let England and France beat you on this?

Good riddance to DOMA and Prop 8! Major victory for equality.

In the meantime, a twelfth US state has approved marriage equality.

The first state becomes the 11th state to legalize same-sex marriage. The momentum will not be stopped.
